How to get a Houston Metro Pass for Disabled Veterans

The Qualified METRO Veterans Pass (MVP) launched April 11, 2016, and is part of a six-month pilot program designed to provide qualified U.S. military veterans with unlimited local bus, Park & Ride and METRORail service for FREE.

Applicants must meet one of the following:

  1. A disabled veteran who has suffered, as a result of military service, at least 50 percent service-connected disability or 40 percent service-connected disability because of the amputation of a lower extremity.
  2. A veteran who has earned a medal of valor: Air Force Cross, Congressional Medal of Honor, Distinguished Service Cross, Navy Cross or Purple Heart.

To receive your Qualified METRO Veteran’s Pass (MVP), applicants must:

  1. Download and complete the application (PDF)
  2. Bring your completed application and a valid government-issued photo ID (ex: State, Driver’s License) for verification to:

  3. Submit a color copy of your completed application, signed and stamped by the V.A., including a copy of your valid government-issued photo ID to one of three ways:
