Who doesn't love playing board games? We'll be rocking out at Neil's Bahr which keeps a rack of classic comics on site. Couldn't pick a better venue. We'll bring in some favorites to pick from like Settlers of Cataan, as well as Acquire and Power Grid.
All are welcome. Street parking is your best option. Uber is your friend.

- Show empathy while actively listening
We are beginning 2017 with a new Affinity Group within LSVA, an At Home Spouse group. LSVA works because all of our members have a shared military experience that makes it easier to talk openly about the good and bad things in our lives. Our military and veteran spouses need the same opportunity to gather and discuss what is going on in their lives with others who are living those experiences now, or have in the past. These are kid friendly events that will allow parents to get out of the house, let the kids burn off some energy with other kids, and be able to relax with other parents.
We will also have a Facebook group for the members to join and continue the conversation outside of the event. In order to join that private group you will need to attend the event or contact email@example.com.
Come visit Lone Star Veterans Association and let the NextOp team help to develop your resume before you attend the next Warrior for Life event. This is a two hour open window to sit down with trained professionals on resume writing. If you already have a resume bring that in print and email to the host ahead of time if possible. This event will sharpen your presentation with employers later in the week.* We'll help translate your military skills into civilian experience.* Teach you how to read job descriptions and match your resume to the desired experience.* We'll show you how to express your experience clearly and concisely.
Lone Star Veterans Association's mission is to build the community of post-9/11 veterans through fun, positive, and inclusive events. Due to responses from member surveys over the past two years and the lack of current events targeting the LGBT community we are re-launching our LGBT Veterans social in 2017. This will be a monthly event for our veterans that have proudly served.
We have also created a closed Facebook group in order to allow this Affinity Group to effectively communicate between events.
