THE CITY OF HOUSTON’S ANNUAL “HOUSTON SALUTES AMERICAN HEROES” VETERANS DAY CELEBRATION

Join the LSVA as we parade around City Hall with 300 of our members! 

 

On Wednesday, November 11, 2015, between 9am and 1pm, the City of Houston will show support for our Armed Forces and celebrate the annual “Houston Salutes American Heroes” Veterans Day Celebration. The day will consist of the AT&T Job & Resource Fair that will be on-site to recruit and offer employment resources for veterans from 30+ corporations; the US Family Health Plan Health Fair, offering free health screenings and flu shots to veterans; a ceremony to salute our veterans and military personnel, with a notable public figure delivering a keynote address, dignitaries, 21-gun salute. The ceremony will be followed by the Veterans Day Parade presented by H-E-B which will include thousands of, military organizations, ROTC leaders, marching bands and veterans of all eras.  #HOUSTONSALUTES

Due to construction on Allen Parkway feeder Road. Please carefully observe the following guidelines:

 This year I-45 North and South bound exists to Allen Parkway close at 9:00 a.m.

 You must enter Allen Parkway via shepherd, Waugh, Montrose or Taft

 Reference the color coded map in this email to determine your staging location. The color codes

indicate areas 1-5 in the map

 You must be staged and in your assigned space by 11:00 a.m.
