Elected Officials Meeting on Veteran Issues

We've invited our local elected officials to attend a meeting to present and discuss pressing and relevant issues related to the veteran community. We will be discussing the upcoming Texas Legislative session, new data, and talking points concerning veterans issues.

Houston is the largest population of veterans in the State of Texas and the fastest growing population of Post 9/11 Iraq and Afghanistan veterans in the United States. However, Houston's veteran population is often left out of statewide policy discussions and program funding considerations that could have a positive impact on the way services are delivered and investment is deployed in the future. Our collective objective for this meeting will be to educate state elected officials on the 48 veteran programs and services represented by the Combined Arms system in order to ensure our officials are aware of our collaborative success and that our veteran's voices are heard in the 2019 legislative session and beyond.

Please join us for this great conversation. This event is by invite only.
