Jonny Havens serves as an associate attorney with Baker Botts L.L.P. in Houston focusing on energy litigation, toxic tort litigation, and complex commercial disputes. He graduated from Texas A&M University where he was a member of the Corps of Cadets and served in the Ross Volunteer Company. Jonny received his law degree from Duke Law School. He was active in several initiatives to serve veterans while in law school, including volunteering with Shelter Legal Services, working on the inaugural Military & Veteran Hotline, and leading Duke’s Veteran Disability Assistance Program.
Jonny served five years on active duty in the U.S. Army and earned his Ranger Tab as an infantry officer. He deployed to Iraq twice, in 2006-07 and 2008-09. He was awarded the Bronze Star Medal twice and earned the Combat Infantryman Badge. He served an additional three years in the Massachusetts National Guard as an Officer Candidate Instructor. Jonny is committed to ensuring that Iraq and Afghanistan veterans are prepared for success in the civilian world.
Jonny and his wife, Anna, reside in Houston with their three amazing daughters.
