Mr. Kevin Barber

Mr. Barber is the Founder and President of Veteran Energy,LLC and 95 Bravo Resources. Veteran Energy LLC is the first 100% Licensed Veteran Owned Retail Electric Provider (REP) certified in the Texas. Veteran Energy’s mission statement is to “positively impact the lives of Veterans, Active Duty Military and their families on a daily basis”. They achieve this through the Power to Give Back™ program he established in 2011. This initiative has created jobs for veterans, immediate needs  assistance and donated over $150,000 dollars to veteran and military support organizations. He is passionate about supporting and advocating on behalf of Veteran Owned Businesses and Veteran entrepreneurs. Prior to launching Veteran Energy, Mr. Barber built nearly 20 years of energy and trading experience while holding positions with increasing responsibility at Integrys Energy, Southwest Energy, Silvergate Bank, Panhandle Eastern Trading Company, Associated Natural Gas, Pan Energy Trading and Marketing and Duke Energy. 
While serving for three years as a K-9 Handler in the United States Army Military Police Corps, Mr. Barber was stationed throughout the CONUS and the Caribbean. He holds a B.A. in Political Science from State University of Albany and an A.A.S degree in Criminal Justice from SUNY Adirondack. He is a member of numerous local, regional and national Veteran associations. He serves on the Board of Directors for the Lone Star Veterans Association in Texas, Advisory Board for the Lone Survivor Foundation, West Houston Chamber of Commerce Salute to Veterans Committee  and the United Ways “We Remember” Committee. Veteran Energy has been recognized for their mission and dedicated support of veterans by the US House of Representatives, State of Texas and Honored by the City of Houston with the declaration of Veteran Energy Day on May 29th, 2014.Veteran Energy and Mr. Barber have been featured in NaVOBA’s Vetrepreneur Magazine, G.I.Jobs Magazine, Houston Business Journals 2011 and 2014 Who’s Who in Energy for Houston, Dallas and Pittsburgh.  Veteran Energy was awarded the Houston West Chamber of Commerce’s Small Business of the Year Star Award for 2013 and most recently recognized by the Mental Health of America for Excellence in Veterans Assistance Award.
He resides in Memorial with his wife and two daughters.
