Lone Star Veterans Association's mission is to build the community of veterans by advancing careers and strengthening families. We do that through fun, positive, and inclusive events that bring veterans and their families together. Due to responses from member surveys over the past two years and the lack of current events targeting the LGBT community we re-launched our LGBT Veterans social in 2017. This has been one of our fastest growing groups and one of our most supportive in terms of volunteering for all LSVA events. We always want our community building programs to be driven by our members, so please give us your feedback and ideas.

Also, don't forget to join LSVA, there's no cost and you'll be part of the largest community of veterans in Houston, Texas.
Proud to see the spotlight shine on one of our founding Community Leaders for our LGBT Veteran Group, Anson Klaber. Make sure to read the story in OutSmart Magazine this month. OutSmart is also a sponsor and partner of our 1st LGBT Veteran Military Ball later this month on 9/27/2018.
We are here to build One Veteran Community. We want to make sure that you can connect with the community outside of our event and as soon as you join the organization. Find us on Facebook and join the conversation today. You can also see what it's like at one of our events by checking out these photos.
With so many monthly events and a small staff we rely on our members in order to operate a consistent and sustainable program schedule. If you have the time and availability to help with tasks at events, admin, database, outreach, or anything else please reach out to us here. One of our group's Community Leaders will get you plugged into our activities.
Interested in joining our volunteer leadership team? It takes three Community Leaders to operate each recurring monthly activity per region. In order to expand access and content we need more Community Leaders. We also are continually recruiting as this volunteer role only lasts 18 months. Will you help us build One Veteran Community?

Our programs are 100% funded by private donations. As an organization we serve our community by recruiting, training, and deploying Community Leaders to build the veteran community. It requires a professional staff to manage the logistics and administration of operating over 15 events each month in Houston. Your support is greatly appreciated.
If your company would like to host a joint networking event with our group we offer group sponsorship opportunities. For more details please contact Kevin Doffing, firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Eagle Scout Veterans is a community for any and all individuals who believe in a lifetime of public service for themselves and their families. Eagle Scouts exist in too many Houston organizations to name, and the number of Eagle Scouts that also served in the military is incredible…though not surprising.
If you want to connect with other service-committed Houstonians—men and women, Eagle or not, Scout or not—we invite you to join us at our launch event.
All food and bingo prizes will be provided by US Family Health Plan at Christus Health. You can view their website at: www.christushealthplan.org and they will be at the event to answer all of your questions.
We will also have hamburgers and hot dogs for those who do not like mud bugs!
