Kevin Doffing is currently the Executive Director of Lone Star Veterans Association and the President of Sam’s Safety Equipment. He serves on the advisory board of Newspring, is an officer of the Whitehall Club, a mentor in the HCC/Newspring Business Plan Competition, a graduate of the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses program, and is a founder/facilitator for a CEO round table that he started in 2012. Since taking ownership of Sam’s Safety Equipment, a retailer of personal protective equipment to the oil & gas industry, Kevin has taken the company from $500,000 in sales with two employees and grown it to $2,000,000 in sales with fifteen employees, multiple locations, and new business services. Kevin was a Finalist for the Houston West Chamber of Commerce Star Awards (2012-2014), awarded the Texas Governor’s Veteran Owned Small Business of the Year (2013) and awarded the Aggie 100 for the fastest growing Aggie owned companies nationally (2014).
While success in business has been rewarding for Kevin, it lacked something he felt with his service in the military. Kevin has worked with various charities since leaving the military including Big Brothers and Big Sisters of America, the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Pine Village Civic Club, Tigers for Troops, and Newspring. Kevin joined the board of LSVA in 2012. Kevin’s goal with LSVA is to see a new veteran service organization model of service grow and develop to address the needs and problems of the current generation of veterans leaving military service.
In 2016 Kevin became the Executive Director for LSVA and began implement a plan for statewide scalability of the organization restructuring its finance, operations, and programs.
Kevin was born and raised in Houston, Texas. He currently resides in the Spring Branch area of Houston with his wife Alicia and daughter Edith.
