The Lone Star Veterans Association works with many community partners and companies to provide free services to veterans and their families. Partners - Non-Profit Organizations
IAVA is the country's first and largest nonprofit, nonpartisan organization for veterans of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. IAVA programs empower our community online and offline, and include Smart Job Fairs, our signature New GI Bill calculator and Community of Veterans, a veterans only social network.
Wounded Warrior Project
The WWP has a main goal to foster the most successful, well-adjusted generation of wounded service members in our nation's history.

The City of Houston, Office of Veterans Affairs is part of the Returning Veterans Initiative. Their main goal is to help coordinate veteran services and programs on behalf of the Office of the Mayor. COHOVA also hosts a Transition Assistance Program.
U.S.VETS provides comprehensive services to the veterans we serve, including case management, employment assistance, job placement, counseling, as well as drug and alcohol free housing. At our facilities veterans progress through a seamless continuum of services designed to help them increase their level of responsibility and prepare them to live independently in the community.
Blue Star Mothers of America
The Blue Star Mothers of America, Inc. is an organization of mothers, fathers, family members, and friends who have loved ones currently serving, or that have served,
in the Armed Forces of the United States of America. We are a non-profit (501[c]3) service organization supporting each other and our children, while promoting patriotism.
TexVet provides a peer mentorship network across Texas that informs, educates, and communicates among veteran groups.
Texas Veterans Commission
Texas Veterans Commission provides excellent service so that each veteran receives every benefit that they deserve. As a veteran works with our counselors, the quality of life for that veteran and their family significantly increases. Our purpose has always been to act as the state appointed advocate of Texas veterans as they attempt to secure the benefits rightfully earned in exchange for their service in our nation’s armed forces.
South Texas Iraq & Afghanistan Veterans
The STIAVA is dedicated to helping the service members and veterans from the Iraq and Afghanistan conflicts.
Grace After Fire
Grace After Fire provides support for and helps women veterans of the United States military who are returning from active duty so that they can re-engage as mothers, wives and daughters in civilian life.

The Military Veteran Peer Network is a community of Texas veterans, active duty members of the U.S. military, their families, and the organizations that serve them. Here, they can stay connected, share knowledge, and find resources to help ease the transition to life after service. Marine For Life
Marine For Life is a Marine Corps organization that provides nationwide assistance to Marines who are returning to civilian life, Marine reservists and all Marine veterans throughout their lives. Marine For Life also assists Sailors who have served with Marine Corps units.
Warrior Gateway is a non-profit whose mission is to connect individuals in the military, veterans, and their families with federal, state, and local government programs as well as non-profit organizations in their local communities. The Warrior Gateway has a great search engine for local veteran support agencies and groups.
